Stream Records - tribute site
Stream Records was a music production and record distribution outlet for disabled people, during the 1990s. Headed by Genie Cosmas of Fish Out Of Water, the Stream Records catalogue distributed many artists - specialising in disabled artists and integrated bands. A few from the Stream Records catalogue are mentioned here:
Fish Out Of Water
Fronted by lead singer Genie Cosmas, Fish Out Of Water's releases included the album "Lucky Scars", the title track of which is a powerful song about domestic abuse.

Simon Smith & The Useless Eaters A rock-based sound, releases include the "Entitled" CD - including the track "Soci-At-Ease", about society's negative attitude towards disability. A section of the rap from "Soci-At-Ease" features on Red Disability's Famous Disabled People web page. |

Heart 'n' Soul A band featuring artists with learning disabilities, who recorded the theme music for "1 in 4", the 1990s TV programme about disability. Their "Heart 'n' Soul" CD features music of a dance / funk nature, and includes the "Doctor's Rap" which pokes fun at the medical model of disability |
Freak UK
A tape of Freak UK featured a fusion of 1980s dance and futurist music, with a style similar to that of New Order.

Progressive rock music style. As well as his own music, he has collaborated with a number of musicians, both disabled and non-disabled, including some famous names.

Sounds Magic
A 7" single, "Rossini's Wonderful Disco Show", was a rather cheesy party song to the tune of the Rossini's William Tell Overture.
Jean Vincent
Rock 'n' roll music, features a number of cover versions of rock 'n' roll classics. Sold by Stream Records catalogue in 1990s.
